No. You do not need to sign up for a set number of sessions in advance. Sessions are paid for individually, allowing you the flexibility to decide what feels right for you as we work together. You are never tied into a package or long-term commitment.
This varies from person to person and depends on what you would like support with. Ideally, I suggest working together for at least 6–12 sessions, as this usually allows enough time for trust to develop and for you to begin noticing some change.
Counselling is not a quick fix and does require commitment and engagement. Some people choose to continue for longer, and we can discuss this together as we go along. You are here because you choose to be, not because you feel obligated.
I just ask, where possible, for one session’s notice if you decide to end, so we can have a safe and supportive ending session.
Each session lasts 50 minutes and offers a confidential, non-judgemental space for you to talk. You can bring whatever feels important to you - your thoughts, feelings, experiences, or concerns.
There is no pressure to talk about anything before you are ready. I will listen carefully, support you in exploring what is going on for you, and help you make sense of your experiences at your own pace. Sessions are led by you, with me working alongside you to support you.
